The international financial product market for instruments such as options, futures, and derivatives moves substantial value on a daily basis. Derivative financial contracts are created and executed by financial intermediaries, but in the
exponentially growing cryptocurrency universe, there’s currently no safe way of offering or executing these products and the traditional derivative providers are not meeting the huge demand for advanced cryptocurrency derivatives.
A BETTER SOLUTION
There's a need of a safe and secure layer ontop of smart contract languages to facilitate the creation of robust smart contracts for financial derivatives. Writing secure smart contracts on platforms such as Ethereum is cumbersome and inefficient.
Contracts written in Turing-complete languages are complex and error-prone. The DAO and the multi-sig Parity hacks are examples of how difficult it can be to write safe contracts that can't be exploited.
